ABOUT DR GENE LING
Education & Training
Dr Gene Ling graduated from the University of Sydney in 2017 with an MD after first completing a Bachelor of Advanced Science. He then trained as a junior doctor at Hornsby and the Northern Beaches Hospitals, working in various departments including the Emergency Department, Paediatrics, Orthopaedic Surgery, Rehabilitation Medicine, and General Medicine.
He obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022. During his training, Gene also completed the Sydney Child Health Program and as well as Extended Skills training in Dermatology.
Special Interests
Dr Gene Ling has special interests in:
- Dermatology and skin cancer medicine, including skin checks and minor skin surgeries
- Paediatrics - he loves seeing children of all ages
- Chronic disease management
He is also passionate about preventive health, leading a healthy lifestyle, education, and mental health.
Personal
Outside of work, Gene is an active member of his church. He loves spending time with his family and friends, and enjoys video games and board games.
